Capping off an absolutely jam-packed weekend of UFC action, UFC President Dana White appeared on tonight’s (Sun., July 12, 2015) The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 21 Finale from Las Vegas to announce the coaches of the upcoming TUF 22.

White said TUF 22 will showcase two teams of eight lightweights from United States and Europe, with Urijah Faber coaching the American team and Conor McGregor coaching the European team.

White clarified that while McGregor was the obvious choice for the European team, the two fighters will not fight at the end of the season”

“Just to let everybody know, because everybody’s probably wondering right now, he will not fight Urijah Faber. These guys are just coaching and mentoring these young fighters and obviously the best decision was to get Conor McGregor for the Europeans, and Faber’s such a great coach, has an mazing team, and has a lot to offer the U.S. team.”

TUF 22 will debut September 9 on FOX Sports 1.
