Charles Oliveira’s Wife Fires Back At Mauricio Ruffy: “Don’t come trying to ride the wave of my husband”
Charles Oliveira’s wife, Vitoria Brum, has hit back at Mauricio Ruffy for criticizing Oliveira’s UFC 326 performance.
Earlier this month, “Do Bronxs” dethroned Max Holloway and claimed the BMF strap. En route to a comfortable unanimous decision win in the main event of UFC 326, Oliveira landed 110 total strikes, scored 5 takedowns, and had a control time of 20+ minutes.
Despite a dominant win, fans, analysts, UFC CEO Dana White, and Nate Diaz, the mastermind behind the BMF belt, among many others, criticized Oliveira’s wrestling-heavy approach in a BMF title fight, where fans expected a slugfest.
Even current and two-time UFC featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski believes it won’t be a surprise if the promotion decides to shelve the BMF belt after what happened at UFC 326.
Most recently, Mauricio Ruffy joined the list to criticize Charles Oliveira’s path to victory in the Holloway rematch. The 29-year-old told Laerte Viana:
“[Charles] did what nobody expected, which was to stick to him [Max Holloway] from start to finish. If you go in just to grab someone, in the UFC business, you end up losing opportunities.”
The winner of the Max Holloway vs. Charles Oliveira 2 bout was rumored to take on Conor McGregor when the latter makes his much-anticipated return, most likely on the International Fight Week card in July.
However, Ruffy believes the UFC won’t be interested in a potential “Do Bronxs” vs. McGregor bout after the UFC 326 snooze fest. He added:
“Charles had an incredible fight, but surely the UFC won’t want to see him grabbing and holding [McGregor], and Conor won’t put himself in that position either.”

Charles Oliveira’s Wife Responds to Mauricio Ruffy
Charles Oliveira’s wife, Vitoria Brum, wasted no time in responding to Mauricio Ruffy’s comments. Brum quipped, schooling Ruffy that this is “f**king MMA” and not boxing.
“Then let’s schedule a boxing match, because if you want a fight, this is f***ing MMA, there will be jiu-jitsu!
She also coldly reminded Ruffy that her husband has more submission victories (22) than Ruffy has had fights (15).
“Ruffy, don’t come trying to ride the wave of my husband, because he has more submissions than you have fights!”
