41-Year-Old Angela Hill Puts On Clinic Against Former ONE Champ Xiong Jing Nan At UFC Macau
Angela Hill turned back the clock at UFC Macau.
Facing former ONE Championship titleholder Jingnan Xiong in the Chinese star’s highly anticipated UFC debut, Hill delivered one of her strongest performances in recent years, earning a dominant unanimous decision victory on Saturday at Galaxy Arena.
From the opening bell, “Overkill” set a relentless pace that proved difficult to keep up with. Hill mixed crisp combinations with clinch work and constant forward pressure, repeatedly forcing her opponent onto the back foot. While “The Panda” found success in exchanges, she struggled to match the veteran’s volume and activity.
Hill’s control of the fight became even more apparent in the second round when she mixed in a takedown and continued to dictate where the action took place. Every time Jingnan appeared ready to build momentum, Hill disrupted her rhythm with pressure, movement, and timely offense.
Despite appearing comfortably ahead entering the final frame, the 41-year-old American refused to coast. She continued pressing for a finish, landing jumping knees, spinning attacks, and forcing exchanges until the final horn.
After three rounds, all three judges awarded Hill every round, turning in identical 30-27 scorecards in her favor.
The victory snapped Angela Hill’s two-fight losing streak and improved her professional record to 19-16, including 14 wins inside the Octagon. The bout also marked Hill’s milestone 30th UFC appearance
