Abdoul Abdouraguimov Edges Out Kendly St. Louis to Secure Dramatic Majority Decision – PFL Dubai
Abdoul Abdouraguimov improved his overall record to 20-1 with an impressive showing against Kendly St. Louis at PFL Dubai.
While the opening round was fairly competitive, Abdouraguimov connected with the biggest blow of the stanza, catching St. Louis with a sneaky right hand that rocked his opponent.
St. Louis looked to change levels early in the second, but it was Abdouraguimov who would end up in control, taking his opponent’s back less than a minute into the round. Abdouraguimov locked in a body triangle and started softening up St. Louis with a series of pot shots. After letting Abdouraguimov rack up a couple of minutes of control time, St. Louis reversed position, getting on top of Abdouraguimov and settling into the Russian’s guard.
St. Louis maintained control through the remainder of the round, though his offense was limited due to Abdouraguimov’s defense on the mat.
It was all Abdouraguimov in the third, with him nearly cinching in a knee bar before ending the fight on St. Louis’ back and securing a dominant victory on the scorecards.
