UFC strawweight prospect Paige VanZant is proving to be one of the most popular young fighters today. The 22-year old Team Alpha Male star may be short in the tooth in terms of fights, but her notoriety is growing. Since joining the UFC in 2014, ’12 Gauge’ has gone 4-1 with only one win going to the judge’s scorecards. In her last bout ‘PVZ’ scored one of the most beautiful knockout finishes in recent memory.

Facing Australia’s Bec Rawlings at UFC on FOX 21, VanZant hoped to bounce back from the 2015 loss to Rose Namajunas. Since that time ’12 Gauge’ had starred in the popular TV show ‘Dancing With The Stars.’ Was the bright faced starlet going to leave her fighting career behind? With the lights and cameras beckoning, VanZant put a stamp on her comeback. After a nine-month absence, ‘PVZ’ wrecked Rawling’s two-fight win streak with a switch kick knockout.

She’s Back!

The win did more than prove VanZant still wanted to fight, it showed she is back and better than ever before. Winning her first performance of the night bonus of $50K, ’12 Gauge’ now has a number of interesting fights to look ahead to. That said, she’s not done with the glitz and glamour just yet. Following the success of her stint on ‘DWTS,’ VanZant is keeping her thumb in a few pies.

Popular TV magician Criss Angel has scooped up ‘PVZ’ for an appearance on his show. Here’s a little sneak preview of his trick featuring VanZant. In a twist on an old classic, VanZant gets split, with a ‘walking dead’ feel. WARNING: It gets a little graphic, but hey, it’s all fake, right?

It’ll be interesting to see what kind of medical suspension Paige VanZant receives after being torn in half like that. Stay tuned for the news of VanZant’s next UFC fight as and when it is announced.
