It’s very nearly UFC Fight Night 70 event day, as the promotion ramps up the hype to round off a big month for MMA (mixed martial arts) and the UFC. With doubleheaders up against their biggest rivals, Bealltor MMA, the UFC has performed well this month. UFC Fight Night 69 overshadowed Bellator 138 last weekend (Friday & Saturday June 19/20th, 2015) and it’s likely that Lyoto Machida vs. Yoel Romero will do the same to Bellator 139 this weekend (Saturday June 27th, 2015).

A former UFC light-heavyweight champion, ‘The Dragon’ says he doesn’t want to think too much about Romero’s game, and has spent a lot of time focusing on his striking and timing. ‘Soldier Of God’ is part of a new breed of brutal middleweight contenders, and the former Olympic silver medallist says he has tried to work on his overall game for the fight in Hollywood, California.

Much has been said of the striking of Machida, but his explosive opponent has heavy hands and knees to offer, it seems this fight may be all about the range and timing. Both guys look fresh and ready during the UFC Fight Night 70 open workouts, check out the video above and stay tuned to LowKickMMA for more hype and coverage on yet another fight week!
