UFC Cuts Brazilian Entertainer Michel Pereira After Recent Defeat
Middleweight Michel Pereira has been removed from the UFC roster, as per MMA Fighting’s Guilherme Cruz, who posted the following update on X:
“Michel Pereira has been removed from the UFC roster, I’m told. Pereira signed a 1-fight deal to face Shara Bullet at UFC Baku in June (after completing his previous deal) and lost via decision.”

Michel Pereira has lost 4 of his last 5 UFC bouts
After completing his previous UFC deal, Michel Pereira had most recently signed a one-fight deal to face Sharaputdin Magomedov at UFC Baku.
The Brazilian lost to “Bullet” via unanimous decision in a closely contested bout. During the aforementioned fight, his opponent pulled his hair twice and also poked him in the eye.
Following the loss, Pereira was furious with referee Herb Dean for not deducting a point from “Bullet” despite the repeated fouls. Venting his frustration, “Demolidor” posted a clip of the fouls on Instagram with the following caption:
“In MMA, there are rules. They must be applied with the same level of rigor to everyone. Respecting the rules means protecting the integrity of the sport and ensuring justice inside the Octagon. My opponent was warned several times and was not punished. When a rule is ignored, the result is compromised. Where’s the criterion, @herbdeanmma?”

He is one of the most exciting fighters known for his Superman punch, Showtime Kick, and several other spectacular finishes.
Michel Pereira is just 32 years old and already boasts a professional record of 32-15. Given his exciting fighting style and loaded arsenal, there would likely be no shortage of promotions eager to sign this fan-favorite fighter if he still wants to compete.
