The Ultimate Fighting Championship announced today that more than 50 UFC and Strikeforce stars are scheduled to appear at the UFC Fan Expo on Friday, July 6 and Saturday, July 7 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas. Fans will have the chance to meet their favorite stars during autograph sessions, Q&A sessions, meet and greets, training and development seminars and other special events. The UFC Fan Expo is coinciding with UFC 148: Silva vs. Sonnen II.

The attendance, gate and post-fight bonuses have been announced for tonight’s UFC on FX 3 from the BankAtlantic Center in Sunrise, Florida. The event drew a reported attendance figure of 6,635 and a live gate of $329,110. UFC on FX 3 is over and delivered a very exciting main card. Ian McCall and Demetrious Johnson began tentatively until Johnson scored a double leg. McCall got up and pressed forward, but ate a huge right hand from Johnson. The two fighters got into a transitioning scramble as the first round wound down. The injury hit parade keeps rolling along for the UFC. It was announced today that light heavyweight Fabio Maldonado was forced to withdraw from UFC 142 due to an injury. Maldonado was scheduled to meet Caio Magalhaes on the January 14, fight card. With less than a week to find an opponent for Magalhaes, the UFC decided to remove him from the fight card, leaving the card with 10 fights at this point.
