The next chapter for who the best, and most talented fighters in the world are.
Fedor Emelianenko’s dramatic defeat against Antonio Silva last weekend at the IZOD Center in New Jersey sparked a very heated, and I must admit quite one-sided, debate in Mixed Martial Arts community. Who’s to blame for Fedor Emelianenko’s two consecutive defeats? It looks like everyone has an automatic answer to this question – Fedor’s management, M-1 Global. People seem to forget that except of being Fedor’s management, M-1 Global is a fighting promotion which organizes events all around the world. And
Now this list isn’t about who the best fighter is, who has the fanciest record, or who beat who to become what they are today. This list is compiled of the Pound For Pound most exciting fighters that win or lose, give it 100% in their efforts and also give a show for the fans.
It only seems like yesterday when we were all tuning into UFC 117. Many hard core fans didn’t think this card would be very memorable or eventful, but it left us with a lifetime of great MMA memories. I can remember exactly the time and place during the event. At the time I was working at a Liquor Store / Pub in my neighbourhood. Being the kind of fan I am, even though I didn’t expect much from this card I still wanted to watch it anyway. I, like many of you didn’t have very high
Frankie Edgar has overcome adversity and beaten the elite of his division and may finally be given the respect he deserves among the MMA community..
As a big fan of BJ Penn, I really held a grudge against Frankie Edgar and had relatively no interest in the UFC 125 main event. It was a last minute PPV buy and I had a bad feeling in my stomach I would regret it, but I was pleasantly surprised when the UFC kicked off the New Year with a bang. Hey Daniel, it’s great to have you back on LowKick.com. Congratulations for signing with Bellator. How are you doing these days?I’m training like a maniac. And I’m so happy to sign with Bellator. I’m not gonna be waiting for UFC to call me. I’m 38 years old, so I can’t be fooling around. Bellator are a big promotion. Getting into their tournament is a fantastic opportunity for me. So I took it right away. Yes. They also recently announced a deal with MTV 2. Exactly. That’s another reason behind signing
With 2010 coming to an end it’s safe to say this has been a huge year for the sport of mixed martial arts. As 2011 approaches we get one step closer to becoming recognized as a mainstream sport.
So naturally someone has to pay homage to the fighters that made 2010 as spectacular as it was. And As tacky as it sounds, I want to give you the top 10 of 2010. Keep in mind this is a list for the best fighters
As If the already UFC 125 stacked Card and a Title fight on the line were not enough…
The Future of the Light Weight Division: Anthony “Showtime” Pettis
Fan Opinion: The light weight division is one of the most competitive divisions in MMA where a lot of fighters reside not only state side but also overseas.
I Believe the future king of the light weight division is Anthony “Showtime” Pettis, who is fresh in our minds coming off of his 5 round war with Ben “Smooth” Henderson” in which I believe was the greatest fight I have ever seen in MMA. The
