With November’s Strikeforce card going up in smoke, one has to wonder what the future will hold for the organization and one of it’s top heavyweight, Daniel Cormier.
Recently Strikeforce World Heavyweight Grand Prix winner Daniel Cormier has found himself in the news a lot due to his November 3rd fight rapidly approaching, with no opponent named. After Frank Mir endured a knee injury that forced him to withdraw, it was reported last weekend that Matt Mitrione as offered the bout with Cormier but turned down the UFC’s offer to go to Strikeforce. Cormier, however, had his own opponent in mind, and took to Twitter to call for this fight:

Former UFC Heavyweight Champion Frank Mir has volunteered to temporarily move over to Strikeforce to face Daniel Cormier in that promotion’s final Heavyweight fight. News recently broke that UFC 146 Heavyweight title challenger Frank Mir had received a Therapeutic Use Exemption (TUE) for Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT) prior to the bout. Confirmed by NSAC commissioner Keith Kizer, Mir was said to have T:E levels of roughly 1:1. This is a far cry from Alistair Overeem’s levels, the man whom he replaced in the bout. Overeem did not use TRT as a defense for his failed drug test and registered at 14:1 T:E levels.
