Sanchez vs Kampmann and Munoz vs Dolloway on tap for UFC on Versus 3

A welterweight collision between Diego ”Nightmare” Sanchez and Martin ”Hitman” Kampmann is likely for the UFC’s third event on Versus, the bout will serve as the main event. It was confirmed earlier today, and sources close to both fighters say that they have both verbally agreed to the meet inside the Octagon. UFC on Versus 3 will take place on Thursday, March 3rd in 2011, a location is yet to be finalised for the event.

Sanchez was the winner of the original season of The Ultimate Fighter, and has returned to the welterweight division after a steady run at lightweight, where he lost to BJ Penn for the lightweight title. And upon his initial return to welterweight the ”Nightmare” lost to British fighter John Hathaway via decision at UFC 114, but most recently Diego defeated Brazilian fighter Paulo Thiago via unanimous decision and got fight of the night honours in doing so.
