After the event, at the post-fight press conference, Rousey revealed she had re-opened a cut on her knuckle which hadn’t healed properly after she origianlly ripped it at UFC 168 against Miesha Tate. The champion said the cut has been a problem since then and hasn’t healed, causing the formation of a cyst underneath her knuckle.

“Rowdy” said she will require nine stitches on the wound but she may have to have the cyst removed if it doesn’t go away. Rousey also revealed she will also have arthroscopic knee surgery for a nagging issue she has been dealing with for some time.
