UFC 142 Preview: Put your "Money" on Chad Mendes

This Saturday, January 14th at UFC 142, when Jose Aldo walks into the octagon, he’ll be faced with what could be the biggest problem that he has ever faced both statistically and stylistically. Aldo will have to deal with “money” problems, and I’m not talking about the financial kind. In more ways than one, Chad Mendes is a serious threat to the legacy Aldo has built, and I’m about to share with you exactly why… POWER
Chad Mendes is a powerhouse of a Featherweight, he

Thoughts from UFC on Versus 5 and Lowkick.com’s Main Card Awards

I personally didn’t really have the highest of expectations going into the UFC on Versus 5 last night. In my head, I knew this would be a fun card, but I didn’t think it would be as good as it turned out to be. From the Facebook preliminaries to the main TV card, it was full on action and entertainment. There was something for everybody on Sunday night from grappling matches to slugfests and exciting displays of technique.  The UFC on Versus 5 card wasn’t the most star studded event

Blogkick: UFC 126 Miguel Torres vs. Antonio Banuelos

Miguel Torres holds victories over the first 36 men he fought in his professional career but he has won just one of his last three fights. Torres was heavy favourite when he entered the cage against Brian Bowles in August 2009, many considering the fight a foregone conclusion. With the World Extreme Cagefiighting now officially absorbed by its sister promotion the Ultimate Fighting Championship, I will be reviewing some of the WEC’s best prospects, that could make some noise within the UFC ranks. And with the introduction of the lighter weight classes, I will be introducing the less familiar fans with some of the hottest talent to grace these divisions.

Top 10 Fighters currently not on LowKick.com Community Top 10 P4P Rankings

The rankings system here on LowKick comes pretty close to perfect, in my eyes. Pulled from around 500 votes, the rankings are the culmination of every single users own personal rankings list. When each list is added, a fighters is awarded points for how highly rated they are. So if enough people consider Jose Aldo the P4P king, then he will earn his spot at the top, because you voted him there.Of course, everybody will have a different opinion, and a different P4P list.

Chael Sonnen Syndrome: Urijah Faber trash-talking his way to the WEC Bantamweight Title shot?

Well, actually it’s hard to call it a trash talk, but it looks like the former WEC Featherweight Champ and MMA legend Urijah Faber learned the lesson from Chael Sonnen’s UFC 109 comments, and is now on his way for a title shot. Before Chael Sonnen’s famous “pink t-shirt and earrings” rant, only a few MMA fans considered the Oregonian as the right man for a shot at Anderson Silva. But Sonnen’s media warfare paid off, showing many other fighters a good way to get themselves noticed. There’s no problem in
