It was supposed to be a changing of the guard when young star Mickey Gall met longtime vet Diego Sanchez on the preliminary card of tonight’s (Sat., March 2, 2019) UFC 235 from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

But somehow Sanchez didn’t get the memo.

After a blazing start from Gall, the vet’s experience shone through in the end. Sanchez absorbed the early strikes to outlast Gall as he became visibly more tired with each power punch. Sanchez began to secure some strong takedowns to end the first round.
