Edson Barboza vs Gilbert Melendez Full Fight Video Highlights

As we all expected, UFC on FOX 20’s co-main event between Edson Barboza and Gilbert Melendez was an absolute spectacle.

Both men had their respective highlight reel moments in the three round contest, as Melendez’s offensive blitz had the Brazilian temporarily rocked in the second round, and Barboza managed to slowly deteriorate ‘El Nino’s’ left leg with a barrage of leg kicks throughout the 25-minute contest.

Ultimately Barboza would prove to be the most effective combatant when it was all said and done, as he now holds a two-fight win streak with the unanimous decision victory.

With Barboza’s win he will now be thrusted into the top five of the UFC’s talent stacked 155-pound division, making a case for a title shot in the near future after his impressive performance Saturday night (July 23, 2016).

Melendez will drop to a staggering 1-5 in his UFC career, leaving many mixed martial arts (MMA) fans wondering what is next for the former Strikeforce lightweight champ.
