Dana White says Brock Lesnar "done" fighting

Dana White

“(Brock Lesnar) is done. He called me a couple of days ago (and) he’s never coming back.”

That’s what UFC President Dana White said when speaking to the Dave & Mahoney Morning Show in Las Vegas. Ever since Lesnar lost to Alistair Overeem at UFC 141 last December and returned to the WWE the day after Wrestlemania, fans have held out hope that the former UFC heavyweight champion would resume his fighting career in the near future. Unfortunately, White is here to squash your dreams despite rumors running rampant that Lesnar had been contemplating a return to the cage. The reason the former Death Clutch fighter has deaded the idea isn’t because he doesn’t like the sport. Instead, it has more to do with the wear and tear it has taken on his body.

“He said his body,” White continued. “He can wrestle but he can’t fight. He was contemplating coming back.”

But as we all know, you can never say never once you’ve had a taste of the Octagon. Maybe Lesnar will eventually change his mind. But as of right now, it’s sports entertainment over mixed martial arts.
