Dana White: ‘Bethe Correia Absolutely Knew About Ronda Rousey’s Father Committing Suicide’

The UFC has hyped tonight’s UFC 190 pay-per-view event around the fact that Bethe Correia, who challenges Ronda Rousey for the bantamweight championship at the event, didn’t know that Rousey’s father committed suicide when she stated that she hopes Rousey doesn’t commit suicide following the fight when she loses.

Correia then retracted from those statements and apologized for saying so, but the baddest women’s fighter in the world doesn’t believe her for being sorry.

Rousey has gone on record for saying that she will make Correia pay for what she said about suicide come Saturday night.

After Correia denied knowing that Rousey’s father committed suicide, UFC President Dana White confirmed that she did know while appearing on The Doug Gottlieb Show this week to promote the pay-per-view event.

“She absolutely did,” White said. “She’s been playing that game. There’s people that are really good at playing the head games. Conor McGregor is one of the best I’ve ever seen. And Bethe has been doing that for sure. But Ronda is a tough one to do it with. Ronda is one of the most mentally strong human beings I’ve ever met in my life.”

Like many, Dana White agreed that Rousey trying to extend the fight to intact her revenge on Correia could be a mistake. White put it as Rousey playing with fire for doing so.

“If you watch Bethe train, she’s got knockout power, man,” White said. “Anybody with heavy hands and knockout power can change everything in one punch.

“There’s never a case where you should go in and let somebody stay in the fight.”

UFC 190 takes place Saturday, August 1st, 2015 at the HSBC Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.. The fights begin at 7:00 pm EST starting on UFC Fight Pass.
