Bellator 62 Results: Woodard, Hawn, Weedman, Michel advance to Lightweight semifinals
The Bellator Season Six Lightweight Tournament got underway tonight, delivering four action packed quarterfinal bouts from the Laredo Energy Arena in Laredo, Texas. Lloyd Woodard submitted Patricky Freire in the headlining bout, while Rick Hawn scored a vicious knockout victory over Ricardo Tirloni in the co-main event. Brent Weedman got back in the win column, submitting J.J. Ambrose in the second-round, and Thiago Michel took a hard-fought split decision win over Rene Nazare in the main card opener.
Each of tonight’s main card winners will advance to the Lightweight Tournament semifinal round, where they will square off for a spot in the final at a later date.
