0-3 Petruzelli is unsure of his future in the UFC.

Seth Petruzelli, an “Ultimate Fighter 2″ cast member who is best known for knocking out Kevin Kimbo Slice Ferguson during an EliteXC Heats main event in 2008, now has a 0-3 record in the Octagon after Saturday’s loss to Ricardo Romero at UFC 116.

The 30-year-old told MMAjunkie.com he is unsure if he will get another opportunity after Romero caught him in an arm-bar halfway through the 2ndRound.

“Honestly, I don’t think I belong in the UFC until I win a fight,” Petruzelli said. “Obviously it was a good showing, but I feel like I’ve let everyone down. I don’t think I belong until I win a damn fight in the UFC.”

Petruzelli’s previous UFC contest came against Wilson Gouveia in 2007, a fight in which he also lost via submission.

He was cut after that defeat and spent three years outside of the Octagon, winning four straight bouts including the Slice victory. Those results were good enough to earn himself another shot after Steve Cantwell was forced to pull out of his bout with Romero at the last minute.

Things appeared to be going in Petruzelli’s favor during the 1stRound, as he showered Romero with a flurry of punches and appeared to have him on the brink of defeat several times.

Unfortunately for Petruzelli, he wasn’t able to finish the fight and admitted he gassed in the middle round.

“I guess I just punched myself out,” he said. “I just got lazy on the bottom for 10 seconds and got caught. I could have got out of that submission. I was just tired.”
