Luke Rockhold tweets Michael Bisping: Let’s set the record straight once and for all

Ever since Chael Sonnen proved that you can talk your way into a title fight, every fighter has become increasingly more and more vocal regarding what they want and Luke Rockhold is no exception.

The former Strikeforce Middleweight champion took to Twitter recently to issue the following challenge to Michael Bisping:

The mention of “practice” was a direct reference to a quote by Bisping from an interview with MMA Uncensored in November of 2012. Bisping mentioned a sparring session he had with Rockhold, in which he apparently got the better of the former Champion:

“Let me put it like this: I’ve sparred with Luke Rockhold recently and let’s just say I’m the unofficial Strikeforce champion. Sorry Luke, but these are the facts.”

Well known for his quick wit, Bisping is never at a loss of words and shot back with a stinger that was harsh but true:


Rockhold then sucked up the harsh reality and took the jab in stride with the only possible answer that could be said:


While Bisping is coming off a solid win against Alan Belcher, Rockhold is fresh off loss via a highlight reel KO against Vitor Belfort.

Not sure if he’ll get this fight for that reason alone but we’ll just have to see what Joe Silva and Dana White have in mind.
