The UFC’s second trip to Mexico City is in the books, with last night’s (Sat., June 13, 2015) UFC 188 from the Mexico City Arena featuring a shocking upset in the form of Fabricio Werdum’s shocking third round submission win over former champion Cain Velasquez.
The event also saw Eddie Alvarez weather an early storm from Gilbert Melendez and a badly swollen eye to take home a hard-fought split decision, and Kelvin Gastelum secured another victory with his brutal battering of longtime vet Nate Marquardt.
