In an interview from FuelTV.com, Tom Lawlor explains his happiness at his impressive 50 second knockout of Jason “The Athlete” MacDonald, saying that he he had never seen MacDonald knocked out cleanly, and age may be getting to him. Still, he was very professional in wishing MacDonald a chance to go out on a high note in his hometown of Calgary later this summer. Tom Lawlor vs. Maiquel Falcao likely for UFC: Rio in August

A promising Middleweight bout between Maiquel “Big Rig” Falcao and “The Filthy Mauler” Tom Lawlor is currently in the works for UFC 134: Rio in August. UFC 134: Rio is set to take place August 27th from the the HSBC Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The landmark card will be headlined by a Middleweight title fight between division Champion Anderson “The Spider” Silva and challenger Yushin “Thunder” Okami and will mark the promotion’s first trip back to Brazil since 1998.

Patrick Cote re-signs with the UFC, will face Cung Le at UFC 148

With Rich Franklin stepping in to fight Wanderlei Silva at UFC 147 as a replacement for the injured Vitor Belfort, Cung Le was left without an opponent at UFC 148. That question has apparently been answered with the return of former UFC fighter Patrick Cote. Cote, a former title challenger who faced Anderson Silva back at UFC 90, was cut from the promotion in late 2010.
