Could TRT become a common issue in MMA?

When Nate Marquardt was pulled out of the UFC on Versus 4 main event last weekend, I was shocked to say the least. I just talked Nate a few weeks ago regarding his main event fight with Rick Story and he sounded like he was ready. He said his cut to welterweight was going well and he sounded more than capable to take the challenge Rick Story would have provided him. Then from left field on the day of the weigh-ins, UFC president Dana White drops a huge bomb, and set the Twitter on fire. He releases a video

Karyn Bryant: It takes much more than that to horrify me (Exclusive Interview)

MMA H.E.A.T.'s Karyn Bryant never thought her UFC 130 post-fight  interview with the former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Quinton "Rampage" Jackson will spark a big debate in the Mixed Martial Arts community. Many journalists found Rampage Jackson's "motorboat" expression a disgrace to the sport, suggesting that the UFC President Dana White should punish Jackson.  We went directly to the source (or at least one side of it), asking Karyn Bryant about motors, boats, Rampage Jackson, superheroes

Judgment Day: 7 MMA Fighters Who Will Benefit From the End of the World

(Bendo: Prepared for takeoff.) According to some misguided crazy people, the world is going to end tomorrow. Apparently, May 21st, 2011 is the scheduled date of the Rapture,...

The Greatest Champions of the Sport.

The sport of Mixed Martial Arts has seen many great fighters and champions come and go, but only a few have cemented a legacy for the ages. I have selected five fighters, from their own respective divisions, that have not only claimed a title but shaped the sport as well. I did not add the Featherweight or the Bantamweight divisions due to the fact that most casual fans are not aware of their existence, and the divisions are relativity new compared to the five major weight divisions. Trevor Wittman: The Octagon is too big for Mirko Cro Cop

One of the most respected striking coaches in the game, Trevor Wittman, will have his hands full on March 19th, with three of his fighters competing at the long anticipated UFC 128: Shogun vs. Jones event in Newark, New Jersey. Eliot Marshall will look to make a successful return to the UFC against Luiz "Banha" Cane, Nate Marquardt will square off against Dan Miller, and Brendan Schaub will face the toughest challenge of his career against the legendary Mirko Cro Cop.Wittman is a head coach at the Grudge

MMA Power rankings: The Middle weights

Terrible day. Have to take a detour on the way to work, then get a ticket because I rush the other way. The work day is fine, but when I go to submit the MW power rankings the whole computer shuts down. I really don't feel like listing descriptions again (especially because I was really happy with the first ones, and I just think I'll miss some points now), but the WW list will be done in full. So without further ado here's who I believe are the most talented MW fighters in the world today: 1.

Blogkick: The Top 10 Fighters of All Time

Now I won't even begin to preach this list as matter of fact. As with more or less any top 10 list, it is completely subjective and unique to the person making it, and there is no list that everyone will be able to agree on, especially on such a debatable topic as the one I'm about to delve into. However, i have tried to be as fair as possible and take each fighter's accomplishments into account with as equal measure as his counterparts. And that is mostly what my list is attempting to reflect:

Blogkick: The ROFL Files; Funny MMA Quotes

In my efforts to compile a list of “Stupid MMA Quotes” for my most recent article I unearthed many other quotations that I would have liked to include but that didn’t quite qualify as “stupid”. Some were inspirational, others rekindled memories of legendary fights of the past but my favourite quotes were the ones that made me laugh. Since the previous article was well received I have decided to create a second collection of my favourite MMA quotes; The ROFL Files. First up is

Blogkick: Anderson Silva, Could He Go Down As The Greatest Ever?

Could the middleweight champ and pound-for-pound king ever become the recognised greatest of all time?

Why Vitor Belfort is fighting Anderson Silva for the UFC Middleweight Title this Weekend

On February 5th at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, Vitor "The Phenom" Belfort will face the toughest challenge of his career, fighting Anderson Silva for the UFC Middleweight Title.  Belfort's position as the #1 contender for the UFC Middleweight title surely raises a lot of questions, and yet, the fight against Anderson Silva is expected to be one of the most exciting fights in the history of the UFC Middleweight division. Let's start with some interesting statistics. Vitor
