Niko Price Melts Tim Means In Unreal Comeback

Dangerous welterweights competitors Tim Means and Niko Price squared off on the main card of tonight’s (Sat., March 9, 2019) UFC on ESPN+ 4 at INTRUST Bank Arena in Wichita, Kansas.

The veteran Means came in off of an impressive TKO win over Ricky Rainey at last November’s TUF 28 Finale. The win snapped a two-fight losing streak to Sergio Moraes and Belal Muhammad. Price, meanwhile, lost to Abdul Razak Alhassan by way of brutal knockout at last September’s UFC 228 after stopping Randy Brown and George Sullivan in his previous two bouts.

The fight was a must-win for each combatant as they looked to stay afloat in the talented UFC welterweight division.

Round One:

Means came out smoking with a body shot and a left over the top. He landed but Price countered with some huge shots and knees that had the “Dirty Bird” hurt. But the vet got a takedown. He smothered Price with some ground and pound. He got him into a strange position and landed several hammerfists. Means landed a big knee when Price got back to his feet. Means snapped a few shots. He scored with some more hooks that bloodied Price’s nose. Huge shots landed but somehow Price stayed on his feet.

Means slapped Price and ‘The Hybrid’ slapped him back. Power shots landed again from Means, but all the sudden it was all over.

Price landed a massive right hand that dropped Means immediately. He landed some ground shots and the ref stepped in to call it off.

Wow.
