Although Stipe Miocic’s brutal win over Mark Hunt in the main event of last night’s (Sat., May 9, 2015) UFC Fight Night 65 from Adelaide, Australia, certainly could’ve been stopped a lot sooner than it was, the card still delivered an exciting night of finishes for the fans Down Under.

Middleweight Robert Whittaker not surprisingly earned the first of four ,000 “Performance of the Night” bonuses for his shocking 44-second KO of previously no. 14-ranked Brad Tavares.

Women’s strawweight Alex Chambers earned $50,000 for her thrilling comeback armbar submission over hyped newcomer Kailian Curran in a bout where the Australian was getting simply outclassed on the feet.

The next bonus went Dan ‘The Hangman’ Hooker, who floored longtime veteran Hatsu Hioki with a well-timed head kick and some follow-up punches to announce his presence in the UFC featherweight division.

Finally, lightweight James Vick continued the trend of comebacks on last night’s card when, after getting rocked with a big left hook and slammed with a huge double leg, he was able to submit Australian fan favorite prospect Jake Matthews with a tight guillotine choke.
