Jarrell Miller: Anthony Joshua Isn’t UK’s Biggest Boxer Right Now

Jarrell Miller has made a rather interesting observation ahead of his clash with Anthony Joshua.

Speaking at last week’s pre-fight press conference in New York, Miller said Joshua isn’t even the biggest name in his native United Kingdom anymore, as it pertains to boxing. Instead, he believes Tyson Fury has overtaken that role (via Boxing Scene):

“”The facial can’t fight for him, the fans can’t fight for him, he’s not the popular one, all I hear is Tyson Fury now — he (Joshua) is a sucker.””

Miller sports a 23-0-1 record and will be challenging for Joshua’s WBA (Super), IBF, WBO, and IBO heavyweight titles. The fight goes down from Madison Square Garden in New York City on June 1st. “Big Baby” declared his plan is to stop the heavyweight great inside seven rounds:

I don’t need to think, I’ll just get it done. You’ve got to go b***s to b***s. If I ever doubted myself I would not have made it this far,” Miller said.

“The game plan’s to stop him in seven rounds. You know how I feel about AJ, and my backstory and where I come from and where we’re going.”

This will be Joshua’s fighting debut in the United States. With a potential win, perhaps the Englishman is setting up for a big money fight against either WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder or Tyson Fury.
