Jan Finney: Medical Suspension

Spread the word!

The California State Athletic Commission has released the medical suspension information stemming from last weekend’s Strikeforce: Fedor vs. Werdum event and it’s no surprise that women’s competitor Jan Finney tops the list of suspensions following the beating she took from defending champion and women’s MMA wrecking ball Cris “Cyborg” Santos.

Finney will be on the shelf for up to 180 days due to an orbital fracture, with additional suspensions of 60 days for facial lacerations and 45 days for precautionary measures after her second-round TKO loss to Santos. The three suspensions will run concurrently, meaning that as soon as the orbital injury is cleared by a doctor, Finney will be allowed to compete again.
