Daniel Cormier Reacts To Jon Jones Showing Him The Finger

It may not have been vintage “Bones,” but it sure was classic Jon Jones…

Former UFC light-heavyweight champion Jon Jones returned to action last night (Saturday April 23, 2016) to take on Ovince St-Preux in the UFC 197 main event. Daniel Cormier was originally scheduled to defend his title against Jones in the top spot, but was forced off the card due to injury. Replaced by OSP with two weeks notice, Cormier took up  sport with Joe Rogan and Mike Goldberg in the commentary position. He watched his rival “Bones” defeat Saint Preux by unanimous decision in a reasonably one sided affair.

Jones was unable to get the finish, making it the fifth decision win in a row for the consensus pound-for-pound number one fighter. While calling the action, “DC” pointed out that Jones looked ‘rusty’ and joked he should have stayed on the card.

After 15 months out of action, perhaps the ex-champion was looking to get some rounds in, or maybe he was just a little rusty, but he tasted victory all the same. Undoubtedly he didn’t look completely like his former self, but maybe he just needed to blow the cobwebs away and get a solid victory in the books. Once the fight was over, we saw the vintage Jon Jones once again, as he flipped off Daniel Cormier on the way out of the octagon.

We saw a brief part of Daniel Cormier reacting to getting flipped off, but now his full conversation with Joe Rogan and Mike Goldberg has been released. Needless to say he had a message for “Bones,” right before Mike Goldberg chimed in with possibly the lamest comment ever…
