Dana White Loves Thiago Santos As Next Opponent For Jon Jones

Dana White loves Thiago Santos as the next opponent for UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones. The UFC President made this belief known following Jones’ latest title defense.

The champ was able to secure a unanimous decision win over Anthony Smith in the headliner of the UFC 235 pay-per-view event. This show went down last night (Saturday, March 2, 2019) at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The top contender beat Jan Błachowicz by TKO in the headliner of the UFC on ESPN + 3 event. This show went down at the O2 Arena in Prague, Czech Republic yesterday (Saturday, February 23, 2019). After the fight, he made it known that he wants to challenge Jones for the strap.

While talking with the media at the post-fight press conference, White agrees that Santos should be next and loves this possible fight.

“I love the Thiago Santos fight,” White said, via MMAjunkie. “I love that fight. I would love to see him verse Jon Jones.” Thiago looks unbelievable at that weight, he’s big, I like his fighting style, and when you put Jon Jones in those type of fights, Jones shines,” White said.

“Jones sort of is one of those guys who rises to the level of his opponent. .. I think Thiago Santos is going to be one of those guys who comes in aggressive, moves forward and gives you the kind of fight that you’re used to seeing Jon Jones in.”
