Bellator 215 Results: Main Event Ends In No Contest

Bellator 215 results are underway as the Viacom-owned promotion holds this latest event on television for fight fans around the world to watch the show.

It’s once again fight day here at LowKickMMA, and the talent on display tonight (Friday, February 15, 2019) will come in the form of Bellator 215. Headlining the card are Matt Mitrione and Sergei Kharitonov, but there’s a whole bunch of great fights also taking place on the rest of the main card.

Matt Mitrione and Sergei Kharitonov meet in a heavyweight bout in the main event. In round 1, right out of the gate, Mitrione kicked him right in the balls and Sergei went down immediately. Sergei couldn’t continue and this fight was ruled a no contest.

Logan Storley and Ion Pascu meet in a welterweight bout in the co-main event. In round 1, Storley came out and was working for a takedown hard. Pascu was doing a nice job of staying off his back. Storley picked him up and slammed him on his head where he got half guard and rained down strikes. In round 2, Storley took him down with ease and continued the attack with constant movement in half guard. In round 3, the domination continued with Storely in complete control. Pascu kept going for a kamur off his back but couldn’t get it. The crowd was dead as Storley moved onto a decision win.

Eduardo Dantas vs. Toby Misech is next in a bantamweight bout. In round 1, Toby caught him with a flying knee strike to the face before Dantas clinched with him up against the fence. Dantas scored a takedown where he worked him over from half guard with strikes. Dantas went for a straight armbar but Toby defended it well. In round 2, more of the same from the previous round. Dantas took him down, got his back and just worked him over with strikes. He pressed him up against the fence and punched his face in. In round 3, they kept the fight standing for the majority of the round but not a ton of action. Dantas was keeping his distance while Toby was just looking for the finish. In the end, Dantas got the decision win.

Michael Kimbel vs. Jonathan Douma is next in a bantamweight bout. In round 1, Kimbel took him down him down but Douma managed tos cramble back to his feet. Kimbel clinched and slammed him down again where he got guard. Douma went for an arm triangle but Kimbel picked him up and slammed him head first. Douma held on and got the win.

Opening the main card on Paramount Network is Austin Vanderford vs. Cody Jones in a welterweight bout. In round 1, Vanderford was widely swinging until Jones tripped and Vanderford got on top where he was in the rubber guard. They did some transition but Vanderford was in full control of this round. He went for an arm triangle and got it.
