"I'm really considering it... I mean i'm in TOP physical condition and still train 2 hours a day 6 days a week. I could go 5 rounds today and i'm not at a point in my career where i can afford taking time off work."

"@Johndo11 Well, it takes 8-12 years of dedicated training (about 3/4 a week) to become a "legit" BJJ Blackbelt (for most). Of course you have freaks like BJ Penn, who get it in 3 years, but we can't all be The Prodigy! I started training Ninjutsu, Hapkido and Judo at age 5 and trained 5 days a week for 2/3 hours a day. Picked up on BJJ 18 years ago when i was 15 and it took me 8 1/2 years to get my blackbelt. Could've got it way sooner if i didn't practice a bunch of other arts at the same time (Penjak Silat, Muay Boran, Wushu a.o.). I was a martial arts FREAK, still am but back then at one point i was training 6 hours a day, 5/6 days a week. Just love for the art! I considered going Pro MMA but in order to do that, the right way. I would have to commit to it fulltime and i just couldn't do it, with everything else i have going on (my business). Still itches though!! I've been slacking on my BJJ the past years, but looking to start training again soon at 10th Planet. "

"I very much respect ground game.. I'm a BJJ blackbelt myself. I simply don't like Shields. He's boring, just like Fitch. I hate watching them fight."
