"I dated a girl from Brazil at the time of the Silva fight. it turns out that the BBQ comment is actually a really big insult in Brazil. it means that Sonnen is submissive and the weaker man. Basically he the poor little dog you give the table scraps to. Its not him trying to be nice. I was always surprised no other Brazilians ever brought that up. "
