"Why did he have to use a capital F, lower case I think he gets away with a stern talking to, capital he's suspended for sure!"

"One thing I've noticed about fighter's pay that everyone likes to gloss over when complaining about how little the they make is that it keeps going up. Look back on the wikipedia pages in the UFC events and just 5 years ago the minimum pay to show in the contract was only $3000-$4000 and now it seems to be $6000-$8000. I'd say that's not bad doubling fighters pay in five years. Would it be better if we could put another zero on those figures? Of course, they certainly deserve it. However, I don't think Dana/Lorenzo are misrepresenting the costs of putting on a show and how well the lower end fighters get paid especially relative to undercard boxers as much as everyone seems to think they are and as much as everyone likes to say that the UFC would be nothing without these guys but the reality is, unless you're a top 10-20 fighter, there's three other guys not in the UFC, probably just as good as you, that could take your job and 90% of the fans wouldn't know the difference [citation needed]."

"I agree, Werdum deserves a shot before Nelson especially given the way he beat down Nelson barely over a year ago. Nelson is one of my favorite fighters to watch but I don't understand why everyone is acting like he's all of a sudden a threat to the top HWs in the world. He's beaten Cheick Kongo that may be past his prime and never was a top HW, a still developing Matt Mitrione and an average Dave Herman. None of those performances have shown anything that suggests he can hang with the likes of Cain, JDS, Werdum or even Mir right now. "

"I agree, I think a lot of us are getting ahead of ourselves with Weidman. He's certainly good and looked like a beast at times out there but realistically he's only beaten an undersized middleweight in Maia and and a sluggish looking Munoz coming off surgery. Now it's Weidman coming off surgery and he's got the wrestling credentials but he hasn't been tested anywhere close to the way Silva will do that. Does that mean he'll lose? No, but I don't think Weidman is as serious of a threat as a lot of us are making him out to be."

"It's not a permanent cut - so what happens if he wins? And he was tired of waiting for a 155 shot, but he was going to get one if he didn't call out Aldo. Damn I'm excited for this fight but none of that made any sense."
