"And he just got suspended... pending an investigation in to the matter. Some of these guys just don't learn from others mistakes.... right or wrong... he represents the UFC and they have the right to can you or suspend you based on the fighters actions. Just dumb to put your job in jeopardy... stupid statements, weed, trt.... all the sacrifices these guys put in to the sport ... just dumb! Play the game.. make some $$$ and when you retire... talk all the **** you want about your former employer. "

"Bring on the weak votes. If you go back and look at Fedor's career and who he fought... was he entertaining...yes...the fights were great to watch. Google his record and the guys he fought... a number of freak shows for pure entertainment. The quality of fighters starts to take a nosedive around 2003/2004 and only goes downhill from there. The wins over Mirko and Hunt around 2005 were good... but.... again after that... the competition was either really weak or he lost to guys who were much better than him at the time. The near loss to Brett Rogers was an indicator he was on his way out IMO. Silva holds the spot at the moment IMO... but... if Jones keeps it up... since he is so young and has been so dominate.. he will pass Silva. Again... no way does Fedor surpass Silva/Jones or GSP IMO. "

"Well... have to disagree with you... as the contract for Eddie Alveraz shows,... Reported stipulations in Alvarez's UFC contract include: An "intent" to grant Alvarez an immediate title shot against UFC lightweight champion Benson Henderson in March A tiered share of pay-per-view revenue, starting at "$1 for each ‘buy' between 200,000 and 400,000 buys, $2 per buy between 400,000 and 600,000 buys, and $2.50 per buy over 600,000 buys." A starting salary of a $70,000/$70,000 show/win split, which includes $5,000 raises per win with a cap at $210,000 A $250,000 signing bonus A guaranteed booking on a UFC on FOX card Three "commentator" appearances on UFC-branded media -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- And that doesn't take in to account sponsors/brand endorsements. Yes... all the fighters take on a ton of expenses... and the lower tier fighters are not making a lot of money. But, that being said, the higher you work your way up, the bigger the payouts like all the sports. Should they be paid like boxers.... well ... that's another argument altogether. Don King was/is a crook... end of story and Boxing has been it's on worst enemy. "
