UFC on FOX 6 Conference Call with Rampage, Teixeira, Cerrone, Pettis, Johnson, Dodson (AUDIO)

UFC on FOX 6 is just around the corner, taking place on January 26th in Chicago, Illinois. The card will be headlined by the Flyweight title fight between Demetrious Johnson (C) and John Dodson, while Rampage Jackson vs. Glover Teixeira, Cowboy Cerrone vs. Anthony Pettis, and Erik Koch vs. Ricardo Lamas complete the stacked main card line-up.

Top main card participants discussed their upcoming bouts in a special media call, with some interesting comments from Rampage Jackson and Donald Cerrone.

  • Rampage seems to be running scared of Glover …he is obsessed with reports Glover will take him down despite the fight not even happening yet. Then in the next sentence rampage explains how hard he has trained in wrestling, standup and everything….Takedowns are a major part of mma. This is like a Muay Thai fighter complaining that their opponent only wants to clinch.

  • Pettis Cerrone could produce the next challenger for the winner of Henderson Melendez. A very intriguing match up IMO. Cerrone let Diaz get in his head and didn't impose any game plan in that fight but I do think he has what it takes to wear gold one day. He just needs to stay more composed when doing his stuff. That said Pettis matches up well against Cerrone as he has only really ever struggled against wrestlers which Cerrone is not so could be a FOTN contender.

Jackson Glover will be over early for sure.
