UFC 194 Preliminary Results: Faber Earns Decision Victory

It was once again fight day here at LowKickMMA, and the talent on display tonight (Saturday, December 12th, 2015) will come from UFC 194. Headlining the card are Jose Conor McGregor and Jose Aldo, but there’s a whole bunch of great fights also taking place on the preliminary section of the card.

Urijah Faber vs. Frankie Saenz closed the preliminary card on Fox Sports 1 in a bantamweight bout at UFC 194. This was another fun fight that saw both men have their moments, but Faber was the one who pressed the action and got the better of Saenz with his striking. Faber almost finished him in the second round, but Saenz showed a lot of heart to survive. Faber got the win by unanimous decision.

Jocelyn Jones-Lybarger and Tecia Torres met in a women’s strawweight bout at UFC 194. This fight had some great pacing and built up to an exciting finishing. Torres was the faster fighter and showed it throughout the rounds. Mostly a stand-up fight. Torres won the fight by unanimous decision.

Warlley Alves and Colby Covington met in a welterweight bout at UFC 194. Another quick finish. Covington clinched with him but got caught by Alves, who locked in a guillotine choke, and won the fight in the first round.

Kevin Lee and Leonardo Santos opened the Fox Sports 1 preliminary card in a lightweight bout at UFC 194. Santos finished the fight early and then left the building. Santos hit him with a right hand that dropped Lee. Santos swarmed him, and the fight is over. Santos sprinted out of the octagon and then had UFC officials chase after him to bring him back into the octagon.

Magomed Mustafaev vs. Joe Proctor in a lightweight bout finishes off the UFC Fight Pass preliminary card. This one did not last long as Mustafaev landed a sick body kick then some knees that dropped Proctor and finished him on the ground. 

John Makdessi and Yancy Medeiros met in a lightweight bout at UFC 194. This fight stayed on the feet the entire time. A decent and close fight that saw Medeiros win the fight by split decision.

Opening the UFC Fight Pass prelims was Marcio Alexandre Jr. vs. Court McGee in a welterweight bout at UFC 194. Mcgee controlled the fight with his clinches and takedowns. That was the story of this fight that earned McGee a unanimous decision victory.
