  • im sorry but how the **** can tito get paid so much for being a shit fighter. He’s getting paid more than cain velasquez !!! crazy

  • taz

it’s cause he used to be a big draw

  • Because Dana is his bitch. Probably helped Dana hide a hooker’s body in Vegas at one point.

  • because his salary is based on ppv draws not his skill

  • Cain is probably going to start getting a lot more money when he signs his new contract. More more and %of ppv

  • These guys should get paid based on there performance/victory. Sucks seeing guys that lost make big cheese.

  • Very sad the way the system works and the fact that Tito made top money, very sad.

  • Hes been fighting since ufc 13. Hes a brand and personality fighter. Hes earned the right to collect a pay day.

  • Alot of the base wages look pretty decent. These are the sorta numbers I hope fighters start getting regularly. I still hate seeing main card fighters getting less the 25k.

And are the bonuses a different % then normally? could of sworn last UFC its was 100% bonus not 50%

  • Tell that to their wife/girlfriend and families while they train all year around.

  • hmm, 6 month medical suspensions for Lesnar and Shields. Guess we won’t see Brock back in the octagon all that soon then. As for Shields, that might create some major issues with scheduling the fight with GSP or Kos (Assuming Dana still plans on giving him the title shot).

  • Kampmann gets $27,000 and Ortiz gets $250,000. What the hell is wrong with this picture? It’s all about contracts. Very sad.

  • Unless JDS beats, which I’m hoping he will

  • Still the lowest paid fighter UFC fighter on this card made 8 grand the same as the SF women’s champ now thats sad

  • @Bonesjones
It’s not crazy the UFC know what they are doing and know who draws and who doesn’t and who boost cards. It’s the casual mma fans that boost PPV numbers not the hardcore fans. Sure Tito is no longer a top 10 guy but having him on the card boost’s the buy’s and don’t worry about Cain his pay will be a lot more now.

  • The total fighters payout was only 3 million. PPV alone made at min 40 million.. This one reason BOXING will always be better then the UFC. BOXERS GET PAID!! DANA WHITE NEVER pays the UFC fighters like they should BE!!!With all that money made in PPV buys, their should of atleast been 5 or 6 guys making atleast a million a piece!!! Somebody outside the UFC need to get involved in how DANA WHITE handles paying the fighters. THIS IS JUST ROBBERY!!!!!

  • how does wat Boxers get paid make it better then the UFC? how does James Toney wearing all his bling and shine make him train now a days? they become babies, they get to the point where there so paid they don’t need to do anything they dont want and they become prisses man. minus a few. theres still a few warriors over there. but ur theory is retarded. how does Boxers getting paid more make it Better to YOU? maybe to it’s fighters but you’re not a fighter soooo. does it make them fight harder? no they hit eachother with pillows dance and hug.

  • What happened to Court McGee’s six-figure contract for winning TUF?

  • He earns 6 figures over the 6 fights or so that he fights, as far as i know

  • 6 figure contract doesnt mean he gets 100k for showing up to a fight, it means he’ll earn 100k in the ufc, over how any many fights they decide to give him

  • Thanks guys, but I understand. I was under the impression that he only had a 3 fight contract.

  • annyone know the ko of the night, sub of the night and fight of the night ??

  • same thing like james tony and kimbo (when he got ko’d after 10 seconds) got payed 500 k $
i wonder how jake shields gets payed so much? -.-
i ****in hate this guy… absolutely boring fighter!!
i hope he gets humiliated by gsp or kos!!!

  • Whats interesting to me is seeing Sheilds numbers 75,000 to show for his first fight.

  • No matter how much they train, their fights are what make them their income. Too many guys claim to have solid training camps before the fight & then don’t show it come fight night.

  • I think thats incentive. Plus where do you find guys as cool as Jake now days.

  • yea and still cant win

  • Straight up, the winner of any fight should make more than the loser. If not, wheres your incentive to do your best?

  • I really doubt that DW offerred millions to Fedor as he said he did.

  • Your incentive is you DO get payed more to win. If you win you get your bonus regardless of your opponents wage…

  • Dana is gonna cut Tito. He cant be payed $250,000 and be on a 5 fight lossing streak

  • the excuse is that people come to see him because of his popularity, i really don’t think many people give a shet about Tito, for sure they came to see Lesnar vs Cain. yeah he is way over paid. there no excuse for it. the past is the past, he not that fighter anymore.

  • Tito must be giving Dana head after the fight. 5 lost in row and he making this much. noway

  • man if Tito was the main card and not Lesnar and Cain this PPV would be shet. he used to be a big draw not anymore. nobody give a flying Fk about Tito

  • D

They kind of had to outpay strikeforce.

  • The UFC payouts are embarrassing. They have no excuse for this atrocity!

  • tito is a big star!

  • Tito a legend used to be a big draw ,but after this fight .I personally think the UFC will cut him.imo

  • He might i’m not sure of the number of fights he gets

  • Tito get paid more than Cain just for now,but became a champ eventually with much brighter future and Cain will makes a lot more money by advertisement and event draw ….perhaps a role in the movies .imo

  • taz

you can’t compre tito and cain at the moment cause cain has only becaome a star, and tito was one of the biggest stars for along time,Cain will make loads more money now cause he gained a massive following just from this fight, i think he will be one of the biggest stars in mma.

  • when tito was cain’s age he was probably making considerably less the UFC probably would have gone under before TUF if it wasnt for Tito and Chuck its funny how quick people forget is Tito really relevant in the 205 division probably not but the UFC signed him it’s like if the UFC resigned Chuck how much per fight do you think they would pay him regardless of recent performance offering him as much money as a relative rookie in Cain would be a slap in the face to someone who helped build your brand to one of the biggest in the sporting industry

  • Dana paid Tito so much, because Tito agreed to wear that ‘Dana is my hero’ T-shirt. Is james Toney the biggest ever UFC payout btw? I can’t understand why Shields got as much as he did, he only by a fix.

  • coz thats whats in his contract, just the way it is, I think Cain should and will be earning more then Tito, besides Tito may not be in UFC much longer, Dana hinted he was getting cut, could just be rumours though

  • @zgerman

He isn’t that big of a draw anymore and he is losing a lot. Just like in any sport, when you start losing, no one wants to watch you and your pay decreases.

  • He must have one hell of an agent.

  • We will just have to wait forever like usual haha!

  • Your probably right but as much as I dislike Tito I ahve no problem with him making money, I only have a problem with the guys that don’t make enough to live on comfortably. This is capatalism and Tito may suck in comparison now but he has definetly made his wage worth paying over the years for all he has done with his big mouth to get us all to watch his fights and promote the sport. I don’t care if Dana or Tito or Bisping(shudders a bit) makes 3 trillion a month as long as the fighters are comfortable in the highest ranked promotion available and are able to focus on their fights and not have to worry about what is waiting in the future. Just like any sport the best comes out when the the focus is right.

  • I don’t think boxing is better but if we look at hockey or football or soccer we can see that you can pay players lots of money and keep them performing if you have enough prospects in line which is definetly something that mma has to offer so there is no need to keep guys like Cain at such a low level of pay considering how much they work to get into the big leagues. Unlike the other sports mentioned you cannot be carried for any amount of time by your teamates and those players are making millions every year. You might say well they shouldn’t have agreed, but consider that if this is as high as it gets than they have no option but to try and continue on with whatever they get since it’s that or quit. The champs should be making their millions and the contenders enough to not have a job on the side at the very least once they have made it as far as the likes of UFC or WEC or strikeforce. The olympic competitors are in a similiar sate in many countries and lose because they can’t focus and train to the highest degree as much as their competitors. Yes there are sponsors but there are those that still don’t get enough.

  • what about Diago Sanchez, Paul Thiago, Jake Shields, Martin Kampian and you still wanna say this PPV would be shit?
