Seeking some much-needed momentum in the talented UFC lightweight division, British fan favorite Ross Pearson took on veteran Evan Dunham in the co-main event of today’s (Sat., July 18, 2015) UFC Fight Night 72 from the SSE Hydro in Glasgow, Scotland.

The fight started with Dunham throwing some head kicks that were blocked. Pearson stalked him down, eating a body kick in the process. He landed a big right hand and fended off a takedown briefly, but Dunham persevered to land some light ground and pound.

Pearson got back to his feet as Dunham grabbed his back for a lifting slam. He took ‘The Real Deal’s’ back on the ground, locking on a tight body triangle to unload some shots. Dunham continued his pressure, switching from a rear-naked choke attempt to lock on a tight armbar that Pearson somehow got out of.
