Myles Jury vs. Takanori Gomi Booked For Fight Night 52 In Japan

It would seem that Myles Jury was rather unsuccessful in his attempt to coax Nate Diaz out of his pay related retirement, as it was announced yesterday that ‘Fury’ would be facing Takanori Gomi in Japan. Scheduled to be headlined by Mark Hunt vs. Roy Nelson, the card has a nostalgic feel with the addition of ‘Fireball Kid’ now.

Last seen in a thriller with Isaac Vallie-Flagg at UFC 172, Gomi has won two fight of the night bonuses since transitioning to the promotion back in 2010, and has a 4-4 overall UFC record. Jury is a perfect 14-0, including wins over Diego Sanchez, Mike Ricci, Ramsey Nijem and Michael Johnson during his promotional stint.
