Countdown To UFC 190: Ronda Rousey vs. Bethe Correia

hqdefault23

On a meteoric rise to superstardom as arguably the UFC’s most bankable face, undefeated UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey will look to continue her destruction of the division when she squares off with her archenemy, No. 5-ranked Bethe Correia in the main event of this Saturday’s (August 1, 2015) UFC 190 from the HSBC Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

The two have quite the backstory due to the undefeated Correia’s two previous wins over Rousey’s “Four Horsewomen” teammates Shayna Baszler and Jessamyn Duke. Correia has repeatedly called out Rousey in the media as well, going as far as to say she hoped Rousey didn’t kill her herself after she lost.

Correia claimed that she didn’t know Rousey’s father had committed suicide when she was a young girl, issuing an apology to ‘Rowdy’ on Twitter. But the damage was done, and Rousey appears as motivated as she’s ever been, guaranteeing that Correia ‘won’t leave UFC 190 looking the same.’ That sets the stage for a rivalry that most are picking the UFC’s queen to finish rather quickly.
