Charles Oliveira vs. Nik Lentz Full Fight Video Highlights

Finally getting a chance to put the bad blood of the anticlimactic ending to their first fight at 2011’s UFC on Versus 4 to rest, Charles Oliveira and Nik Lentz put on a rousing show in UFC Fight Night 67’s “Fight of the Night”-winning co-main event bout from last night’s (Sat., May 30, 2015) card from the Goiania, Arena in Goiania, Brazil.

The rematch, which was originally scheduled for last September’s UFC Fight Night 50 but was subsequently canceled after Oliveira missed weight and fell ill the day of the fight, featured no small amount of back-and-forth action that saw Lentz using his grinding wrestling to score takedowns and his improving boxing to repeatedly tag Oliveira with some big right hands.

But the surging ‘Do Bronx’ was able to use his rapidly rising Muay Thai game to batter the body of Lentz with an endless torrent of thunderous knees, dropping ‘The Carny’ and swarming for a finish that didn’t come; at least not until later in the fight, that is.

After a grinding performance from Lentz in the second, he appeared the more tired fighter going into the last round, and it showed. ‘Do Bronx’ was able to capitalize with his lethal submission game, locking on a tight guillotine that he took to the mount and forced Lentz to tap in the final frame. It was defining performance that earned ‘Do Bronx’ a rare double bonus and put him in contention in possibly the hottest division in all of MMA.
