Former WSOF bantamweight champion Marlon Moraes has been looking to make a big impact on the packed UFC 135-pound landscape, and he did just that at tonight’s (Sat., December 9, 2017) UFC Fight Night 123 from Save Mart Center in Fresno, California.
Facing Top 10-ranked Aljamain Sterling on the main card, Mores came out strong by dropping the East Coast contender early. But Sterling was able to bounce up rather quickly, even throwing up a triangle and armbar attempts from the ground.
Moraes persevered, and the fight ended incredibly violently shortly thereafter. He threw a switch kick and right as he did, Sterling closed the distance to eat an absolutely brutal knee that hit him flush on the chin and knocked him out cold. Watch the finish to the furious bout here:
