Frank Mir issues an apology for Brock Lesnar comments

Frank Mir recently said that he wants Brock Lesnar to be the first person to die due to octagon-related injuries just issused an offical apology;

“I would like to apologize to Brock Lesnar, his family, the UFC and the UFC fans for my stupid remarks,” Mir stated in the brief release. “I respect Brock, all the other fighters, and the sport of mixed martial arts. I’m sorry that I stepped out of line.”

As a result of his comments, alot of fans wanted him suspended and UFC president Dana White said he was dissapointed in Mir.

“Frank Mir has been talked to, he regrets what he said, and he won’t be saying anything like that again.”

Frank Mir is currently set to face Shane Carwin at the co-main event of UFC 111, for the Interm Heavyweight championship, the winner of this fight has a possible oppotunity to fight the Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar.
