Conor McGregor didn’t spend a lot of time talking about the MMA award he had won, but took a moment to fire some shots at UFC heavyweight champion Fabricio Werdum…

UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor is on fire right now. Having destroyed his bitter rival Jose Aldo at UFC 194 after a year long rivalry, he now moves up to lightweight to take on the king of the 155-pound division Rafael dos Anjos. He didn’t waste any time in throwing out some crazy statements about his new Brazilian foe, going as far as accusing RDA of being a traitor to his country, and saying he would behead the lightweight boss at UFC 196 (originally 197).

UFC heavyweight champion Fabricio Werdum, training partner of dos Anjos at Kings MMA in Brazil, didn’t take too kindly to McGregor’s brash behaviour at the event’s presser. He reacted by saying he would slap ‘The Notorious One’ if he behaved that way in his presence, and a new rivalry with another Brazilian champion was born, then came the injuries.

It seems every interview or moment in the limelight is big news when Conor McGregor is involved, and even ‘Vai Cavalo’ who is 110 pounds heavier is drawn in to beef with the Irishman. Even though they’ll likely never fight, it hasn’t stopped the rivalry between the two champions growing. After Werdum and Velasquez both pulled out of their title rematch set for today (February 6, 2016) and the entire UFC schedule was pulled back one number, McGregor had a classic response for the stricken champ of the heavys.

Not only does McGregor not really address the award he’s won, he goes on one of the most hilarious rants we’ve ever heard. There’s something about him talking trash via a recording on a 40 foot screen to a confused crowd that’s just too funny to describe.
