Bellator Reportedly Working On Fedor Emelianenko vs. Tito Ortiz

Bellator mixed martial arts (MMA) is reportedly working on quite the heavyweight showdown.

According to a report from VK, a blockbuster heavyweight bout between legends Fedor Emelianenko and Tito Ortiz is currently in the works for a future Bellator event:

“NOT OFFICIAL: Fedor Emelianenko vs. Tito Ortiz Many MMA fans around the world are wondering who will be the next opponent of “The Last Emperor”. According to one insider news MMA, close to the leadership of the promotion, who wished to remain anonymous, right now we are working to match the organization Fedor Emelianenko and Tito Ortiz. The fight will be held in the heavyweight division and held in one of the tournaments Bellator“”

Emelianenko (36-4-1(1)) is coming off of a a controversial majority decision win over Fabio Maldonado in Russia, that could possibly be overturned to a draw. ‘The Last Emperor’ took a significant amount of damage during the three round contest, but confirmed he still plans to continue his combat career.

Ortiz (18-12-1) comes off a Bellator light heavyweight title bout loss to the surging Liam McGeary, having now lost three of his past five contests in the cage.
