It’s once again fight day here at LowKickMMA, and the talent on display tonight (Friday, August 25th, 2017) will come in the form of Bellator 182. Headlining the card are Andrey Koreshkov and Chidi Njokuani, but there’s a whole bunch of great fights also taking place on the rest of the main card.

Andrey Koreshkov and Chidi Njokuani meet a welterweight bout in the main event. In round 1, Nyokuani worked him over with leg kicks, which forced Koreshkov to force the clinch with him. Koreshkov landed a series of knee strikes while in the clinch. Koreshkov brefily dropped him with a spinning back first but Chidi got right back to his feet. Koreshkov pressed him and scored a takedown. Chidi got back to his feet but Koreshkov clinched then got a takedown. Koreshkov rained down elbow strikes from guard for the finish.

Brennan Ward and Fernando Gonzalez meet in a welterweight bout in the co-main event. In round 1, Ward was able to score a quick takedown but couldn’t hold him down. Ward pressed the action with combos then scored a takedown with two minutes left. Gonzalez popped right back to his feet. In round 2, Ward caught him with an elbow then scored a double leg takedown. Gonzalez got back to his feet and they exchanged shots with Ward getting the better of the trades. Ward scored a takedown with a minute to go to further win the round. In round 3, Ward shot in for a takedown and Gonzalez caught him with a guillotine choke for the win.

Bruna Ellen vs. Veta Arteaga in a female flyweight bout is next. In round 1, after having a feeling out process, Arteaga blitzed her with strikes and clinched with her up against the fence. They separated then clinched again. Ellen landed a series of combos. Ellen went for a takedown but couldn’t get it. Ellen scored a late round takedown but couldn’t do much. In round 2, Ellen scored a mid-round takedown. Although she had top position, she didn’t do much damage. Arteaga sweeped and got on top then landed some big shots to end the round. In round 3, Arteaga tagged her to begin the round then clinched with her. Arteaga started getting tired and slow down. Ellen scored a late-round takedown and worked her over with strikes from guard. Arteaga was able to get to her feet and they slugged it out to the bell. The judges gave the win to Ellen by split decision.

Opening the main card on Spike TV is A.J. McKee vs. Blair Tugman in a featherweight bout. In round 1, after having a feeling out process, Tugman shot in on a takedown but it was stuffed. McKee kept him pinned on the ground while seeking a guillotine choke. Eventually, Tugman got back to his feet with 2 minutes to go in the round. McKee accidentally poked him in the eye but the referee didn’t see it. As a result, McKee scored a late round takedown and worked him over with shots. Tugman got to his feet while eating knee strikes to the gut. In round 2, McKee was pressing the action but Tugman wasn’t doing much. Not even counter striking, which led to a non-action round. McKee was throwing strikes, elbows, and kicks. Anything to get inside of Tugman’s range. In round 3, McKee continued to press the action. Mid-way through the round, he clinched with him up against the fence then failed on a takedown attempt. Despite this, McKee was able to bust open McKee on the bridge of his nose. Tugman had nothing for him and the judges agreed as they gave McKee the decision victory.
