After presenting their fist Pay Per View event in history, World Extreme Cagefighting traveled to Canada to present the exciting WEC 49: Varner vs Shalorus fight card. The night was headlined by the Lightweight showdown between the Iranian contender Kamal Shalorus and the former WEC Lightweight Champion Jamie Varner. The fight card took place at Rexall Place in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
