WEC 49: Varner vs Shalorus Preview; Picks are now Open

After presenting its first ever Pay-Per-View event, World Extreme Cagefighting will add another chapter to its history, this time with the promotion's first ever international event WEC 49: Varner vs Shalorus. The event will take place at the 15,000-capable Rexall Place in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, headlined by the lightweight showdown between the former WEC Lightweight Champion Jamie Varner and the unbeaten Iranian wrestling prodigy Kamal Shalorus.

Also on the card, Josh Grispi and LC Davis will square off in a fight that could determine who will face Manny Gamburyan for the shot at Jose Aldo's Featherweight title, as the promotion's veterans Mark Hominick, Ed Ratcliff and Will Campuzano will also take part in the event.
