Matt Hominick dominates Yves Jabouin for the Second Round TKO victory
Posted on June 20, 2010, 10:10 PM by Anton GurevichMatt Hominick scored an important victory against the fellow Canadian Yves Jabouin, after going behind in pace during the First Round of the fight. Jabouin opened the fight being an early aggressor, dominating Hominick with kicks and striking combinations.
But as the fight continued, Yves Jabouin slowed down and allowed Matt Hominick to take charge of the fight. Hominick opened the fight by storm, finally trapping Jabouin in a Triangle Choke, that was later changed to a Full Mount position. Jabouin failed to defend himself, as the referee had to stop this contest via TKO after 3:21 minutes of Round 2.
Matt Hominick improves his record to 17-8, challenging Leonard Garcia and the Undisputed WEC Featherweight king Jose Aldo. Maybe Hominick will have to prove himself a few more times before eh challenges Aldo, but the Canadian is definitely in the right direction after getting his third consecutive victory against Jabouin.

His name is Mark Hominick!
that was one of the best fights ive seen from wec. fast paced and brilliant strikes, especially from yves.
yup, amazing fight!!! especially when Hominick got dropped near the end then underhook leg transition to get top mount!!! best fight I've seen for a while not just in the WEC.
also, hope I see Jabouin again soon, ridiculously good striker!!
yup mark took some shots , but i also though mark defended and blocked alot of what he was throwing. The jump reverse heal kick was awsome from Jabouin , to bad it missed by this---------- much
