Glad to hear he competed in Judo. Great sport for throws and balance. Only a really strong and talented wrestler could bully Aldp.

Rags to riches story line right there.

Aldo, the future of MMA. A BJJ, MuyThai striker who can nullify the wrestling game and pick you apart.

His take down defense if fair if you get through the kicks and strikes to get a hold of him. If you get in his guard he ties you up so bad the ref stand you up, or he escapes. Watch the Faber fight and Fabers not bad at wrestling IMO.

Wrestling is not such a huge factor in the lower weight divisions. Less body weight to hold fighters down, so usually fighters can get back to their feet pretty quick.

this kid is without a doubt one of the best, if not the best the WEC has to boast on their roster.....

having said that i personally would love to see him bulk up and hit the 155 weightclass in the UFC, he would be a force to be reckoned with at LW IMO, if / when he retains the title and has a few more matchups in the WEC i think it should happen, and maybe a few fights with some WEC LW's, Varner, Pettis, Cowboy, Bendo etc would all make for awesome matchups, but the UFC has a more talent in abundance so to speak in their LW division - look out 4 ALDO @ 155 in the foreseeable future ;) u heard it here first !!!!

The kid has got it all.... Very well rounded and a lethal striker. At just 24 years old, one has to figure its only a matter of time before he makes the jump up to 155lbs. I am not sure what he walks around at, but I am guessing it would not be a tough transition at all.
